The packing of MSI R4890 Cyclone OC has practically no design novelties, and partially because of this it has a strict and substantial look.
However, there is as little information, which could be helpful for a potential buyer, on it, as on the Sapphire box — the type and the volume of the video memory as well as mentioning that this model has been overclocked by the manufacture beforehànd. But MSI like, anyway, Sapphire too, has not stinted praises either. On the manufacturer’s opinion, the use of 8–mm heat pipes instead of the traditional 6–mm ones is supposed to raise the cooling effeciency almost by twice which, of course, is unachievable in practice. The statement about use of ‘military class’ components looks doubtful too — installation of ordinary high–quality capacitors and inductance coils does not make the video adapter ‘military’ yet, although, of course, it influences positively the stability of its work and overall service life.
